Gluten Free Expo Comes to Vancouver January 13
(HealthCastle.com) Gluten-free eating is an ever-more-popular trend, even among those who don't suffer from celiac disease or gluten intolerance. If you're looking to learn more about gluten-free eating or to discover some new gluten-free products, you might want to check out the Gluten Free Expo on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Vancouver Convention Centre to learn about the latest trends, products, and advice for those living the gluten-free lifestyle.
What to See at the Gluten Free Expo
The Gluten Free Expo originated in Vancouver last year and has since been held in Toronto and Calgary. It's return to Vancouver brings more than 100 exhibitors, making it both Canada's first gluten-free show and the largest. Entry includes presentations from six gluten-free expert speakers, product and cooking demos, product tasting and samples, coupons, and the chance to purchase many gluten-free products not readily available in stores.
In addition to a wide variety of gluten-free baked products, flours, cereals, baking mixes, and cookbooks, you'll find many products you'd probably never thought of, like gluten-free fish fry batter and coconut milk ice cream.
There are speaker presentations all day long, but if you can only make it to one, I recommend Gluten Sensitivity, Intolerance or Celiac Disease? Sort out the Confusion with Shelley Case. Shelley is a world-renowned expert on gluten-free eating and the author of Gluten-Free Diet: A Comprehensive Resource Guide. Shelly offers straightforward information on gluten-free eating that we have quoted on HealthCastle.com. Check out her presentation at 4 p.m.
You can get more information about the Gluten Free Expo and see a full list of sponsors, exhibitors, and speaker presentations at glutenfreeexpo.ca. Tickets are $12 (cash only) at the door or $9 online. The expo takes place fro 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
